This place is so refreshing! Nektar provides the freshest ingredients and everything is so yummy. My favorite is the Açaí Banana Berry Bowl. I don’t know how they always have the freshest bananas. Thankfully they offer whey protein to add to the bowls which solidifies it for me! I’ll forever be a Nektar customer. The staff is always nice and welcoming. It’s clear Nektar is intentional on cleanliness and providing the best quality. I only wish they were closer (or IN Crystal Lake 😉).

Everything was fresh and delicious. However, if you have an allergy to nuts, this may not the place for you or proceed with caution. I didn't realize they use cashew milk as a main ingredient for the acai bowl I selected. Partially my fault because it is listed within the menu. I never encountered a place that serves acai bowls with a main ingredient that people can be highly/severely allergic to, so I didn't think to ask when I ordered. Due to the terrible allergic reaction, I will not be going back. However, if it wasn't for the allergies, the stuff is really good.

We encourage our customers to inform us about any allergies so we can guide them accordingly. Our plant based menu may not work for everyone. Yet, substitutes like orange juice, coconut water, or fresh apple juice is always an option too.
Many freshly made plant based smoothies, juices and fruit bowls with added protein options. Lots of unique options. Modern yet welcoming decor. Friendly staff. Recommend ordering ahead or be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes for your order to be filled.

Tried the new sweet and spicy and it was so good and refreshing. If you like a little spice, I recommend trying this! I had the açaí bowls as well and they were amazing. Nothing beats Nékter bowls!

Every time I visit my parents who live in the area I make a point to stop at this Nekter and get a protein bowl or smoothie. First rate customer service AND great tasting healthy snacks will keep me coming back.
I've been visiting the Barrington Nekter for the past 3 years and each time I have a positive experience. Most recently, during the Thanksgiving Holiday week and weekend it was part of my routine to stop by each afternoon for a healthy post-workout snack. Lauren (the owner) and her team create a welcoming and warm environment. Keep up the great work everyone--I look forward to seeing you the next time I'm in town.

I wasn’t an açaí bowl person, but Nekter has changed my mind. It’s something I make a point to order when I’m in town visiting my family. 100% recommend the peanut butter bowl. You will not regret it.

Refresher (beet juice) was good. They have gluten free granola available, but make sure you ask. I also had the mango acia bowl and it was a delicious treat - a bit heavy on the granola for my liking, but very good.
I had to wait a while, but appreciated that the cashier told me it would be a minute when I put my order in so it wasn’t a surprise.
The cooler had things in it that were easy to grab, but looked too processed for my liking.
* ate the acia bowl before I could get a photo cause I was too hungry
I love this place a lot but I was waiting for my bowl for 40+ minutes while others who ordered before me got theirs quicker. The food and everything is amazing and 5 stars, but it was very unorganized. I will still be buying but it was upsetting.
The manager was almost taken a back because I wanted coconut topping and almond butter added, he says to me “ did u want me to go bring everything from the back to put on the açaí bowl?” He mentioned extra cost, I happily stated “no problem” then proceeded to state the earlier, I’m sorry I didn’t want to make the extra money when I was more than willing to pay! Won’t be back!

I love this place! I’m trying to watch my diet and discovered Nekter. Their ingredients are SO fresh and the combos they use in their smoothies and bowls are so good!! I’ve given up my daily Starbucks run to get Nekter instead! Totally worth it and the employees there seem so kind!
