I have been a loyal customer to Nekter juice bar for the past few years. Usually I have a good experience no matter which location I go to. However, my last visit at this location was not pleasant. I ordered my favorite bowl- power protein as usual and was told they didn’t have strawberries and only had peanut granola. I told the cashier that wasn’t a problem and I will still purchase the bowl. What I don’t know was that they were also out of 3 more the main ingredients to make the bowl. Plus I only received half of the portion size due to the lack of ingredients. However, I was still charged full price. I was trying to be understanding but I still believe if all ingredients are not there, it’s shouldn’t be full price. Does this bowl look like it is worth $14?
Friend from the UK ordered the 32oz watermelon juice and dragon fruit bowl for me through ubber eats. It had dragon fruit, agave, goji berries, hemp hearts, apples, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, and banana. Oh and granola. My friend went a little crazy, they ordered extra fruit. And I ate ALL of it. It was almost 2lbs of fruit not counting the juice. I basically overdosed on fruit, I'm not gonna lie.
Everything was fresh and delicious. It was so amazing. I knew I didn't have any more room, but everything was so delicious and fresh that I could not stop. I looked pregnant after. I had to lay down and take a nap.
The only negative thing I experienced was sadness as I noticed I only had a couple bites left of my fruit bowl. I should not have eaten that much fruit, but I did. Like a fat pig. And I'd do it again. Ugh... it was all so amazing.
Thank you to whoever put my fruit bowl together. This was my first time eating from nekter, first time eating dragon fruit, goji berries, hemp hearts, and agave... and it was amazing.
I'm still fruit pregnant and kind of out of it from my nap, ngl.
Edit: It's been years and to this day I still tell people about how good this all was. When people mention going to Houston I suggest they stop by, and whenever I get to go back, I will definitely be stopping by. This was a completely guiltless and magical food experience for me.
This location is my favorite. It feels like a local juice bar and not a chain. The staff is always kind, patient, and helpful. I love the decor, and the library is an amazing addition.
Keep up the good work!
Small and quaint. Clean store, fresh fruit and vegetables and amazing juices. Customer service was fantastic. If you are looking for fresh, this is as fresh as it gets...
Had the Açaí bowl and was unsatisfied, the customer service is horrible guy at the register did not look happy to be there at all. Granola or coconut had an after taste. If your into açaí bowls definitely try Juiceland you will not regret it.
I am a juicer myself so I know how real juice is suppose to taste! I ordered a juice and it was so sweet as if they are putting sugar in it. The juice is also extra frothy which I believe is a scam so that people get less juice. Someone needs to investigate this place for fruad!!!!!
I've swapped Starbucks for Nekter and my body couldn't be happier. Obsessed with this place - I go wayyy too often but there isn't a juice combo that I haven't loved yet. Highly recommend getting the app because the rewards are also amazing.
Juice was ok, texture and flavor wise.
The prep area was messy and didn’t look very clean. Restrooms were messy and unkept as well.
The staff was nice.
Overall, it wasn’t an 8-9 dollar juice experience.
This seems like a business in a straight decline. My first impression was how dirty everything is. Food, standing water all over the floor.
The employees are clearly a demoralized bunch with levels of DGAF >9000. Their slowness, indifference and outright rage at having to work is baffling.
On top of everything, you know things are going downhill when every juice is filled out with 90 percent celery.
I wanted to like this place, since I live down the street, but it's so dirty, slow and offputting. I can't wait to see what replaces it. I hope the employees move on to jobs they don't hate.
