First day open, tried their smoothie and it was great.They use fruit nectar (Nektar) instead of sugar which is great for me. Plenty of employees on site + the owners as it was their first day opened. Great Ambiance. Happy that they are opened finally.
I was genuinely excited that Nekter finally opened. While I was at work, my daughter messaged me saying they were finally open, so after she and my family picked me up from BART, we drove straight there. There was a sign outside advertising a free smoothie or juice with an app purchase, so I downloaded the app and ordered a strawberry smoothie for my daughter around 5:07 PM, with a pickup time of 5:30 PM. A few minutes later, I received a call that they had already run out of strawberries, so we switched the order to mango. I appreciated the call, but I was surprised they had already run out of such a popular ingredient on opening day. I also tried to get the cashier’s attention so we could just talk in person instead of over the phone, but I couldn’t.
Since it was their first day, I kept telling myself to be patient, and my daughter kept reminding me the same thing. But as time went on, it became more frustrating. By 5:30 PM there was still no update, and by 5:38 PM I finally went to the cashier to ask about my order. She immediately recognized it as the mango smoothie from our phone conversation, opened the pickup fridge, and handed it to me. The funny thing was, I had actually seen an employee place the smoothie in the fridge earlier, but no one ever called my name or let us know it was ready.
What made the experience even more disappointing was watching customers who ordered in-store receive their drinks before those of us who had ordered ahead through the app. In the end, we waited about 30 minutes for a smoothie that wasn’t even the one we originally ordered. I also never figured out how to redeem the advertised free smoothie or juice—there wasn’t a coupon or any clear instruction in the app, so I left wondering if I had missed something.
I understand that opening day can be busy, and I truly wanted to give the team the benefit of the doubt. But being new isn’t an excuse for poor communication or disorganized service. Opening day is when customers are most excited to visit, so it’s also when expectations are highest. I still have high hopes for Nekter and hope this was simply a rough start, because I’d love to come back and have the experience match the excitement we had walking through the door.
Anyway, the place is bigger than I expected with comfy chairs.
I’m hoping I’ll have a better experience.

Love the genuine care at Nektar Juice Bar. It's become my daily routine for shakes, bowls, and juice. Seriously one of my favorite spots to grab and go. The staff here knows me and what I like - that's the kind of service I value. This review is way overdue. If you want real fruit and quality ingredients, you'd probably love this place. I always have the best experience here. My regular orders are remembered by the team, but even new ones come out super fast with a smile. It's convenient and close to work too. I really appreciate the whole crew for always helping and being there. You all do amazing work and it definitely doesn't go unnoticed. Thanks so much!
