I had my first Açaí bowl about a year ago and found out that I really love them. I’m not vegan or anything but I love fruit and granola and so Açaí bowls are a great match for me.
At Nektar I ordered the “peanut butter Açaí bowl”.
It was pretty good! It was a huge portion with tons of granola (which I am a fan of) and the fruit was fresh and delicious.
My issue was the Açaí by itself (in my opinion) didn’t taste that great. It wasn’t bad or anything! It was fresh and high quality, but it was hard to eat without including the fruit or granola. By that I mean I have had many bowls where I could eat and as I got down to the end and there was less toppings, I could still happily chow down on the Açaí by itself. With this one, I ate it all, but it just... simply wasn’t as good!
The other thing is I assumed there would be alot more peanut butter and honey as it is called the “peanut butter Açaí bowl” and honey is one of the toppings... but to be honest I didn’t taste ANY peanut butter or honey.
Lastly it was expensive.... about $9.50 for the bowl, BUT it was huge as I said before which sortof makes up for it. Personally I’d rather pay alot less for a smaller one.

FINALLY!!! A legit juice bar on this side of town!! I don’t have to go to Scotsdale anymore!! Came here the other day from a recommendation of my daughter. Dexter made my drink and I complimented him on it. He was SO POLITE!! Asked if I wanted another one. The freshness was unreal!! I can’t wait to go back in!! Counter girl could have been a bit more approachable. But I wish I could give Dexter 10 Stars.
